MASS OF PALM (PASSION) SUNDAY FROM LISBELLAW

BBC Radio Ulster will broadcast the Mass of Palm Sunday of the Passion of the Lord live from St Mary’s Church, Lisbellaw, Co Fermanagh, on Sunday next, 9 April 2017, at 10.15am. The celebrant will be Monsignor Peter O’Reilly, PP.

On this Sunday, the Church recalls the entrance of Christ the Lord into Jerusalem to accomplish his Paschal Mystery. We also listen to the proclamation of the Gospel according to Matthew (26: 14-27) where the story of the Passion is told with great drama and immediacy. ‘The meaning is plain to believers; this is the fulfilment of the scriptures. Through his suffering we have been set free’. (Glenstal Sunday Missal, pp. 243, 256)

The broadcast of the Mass will be available on the BBC Radio iPlayer shortly afterwards. For further details, visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/radioulster
