SAINTS ASSOCIATED WITH THE PARISH:
St Patrick – closely linked to St Patrick’s Purgatory, Lough Derg.
St Davog, also known as St Mobec. A disciple of St Patrick and closely associated with Lough Derg and also with the parishes of Trillick and Dromore in Co Tyrone. His name is commemorated in one of the penitential beds on Lough Derg and one of the boats used to ferry pilgrims to the island is named after him. Featsdays (in different martyrologies) 29 May and 24 July.
