WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY 18-25 January 2024

The annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity will be marked across the world from 18 to 25 January

The resources for the 2024 Week of Prayer were compiled by the Holy See together with Churches and other Christian communities in Burkina Faso, under the theme “Go and do likewise”. This is drawn from the parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke’s Gospel (Luke 10:25-37).

The resources (including resources in the Irish language) are available on this link (prepared for us by Churches Together in Britain and Ireland): Resources for Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2024 (ctbi.org.uk)

Let us continue to pray and work for greater unity among all Christians across the world and, especially, here in our own country. In doing so, may we unite ourselves to the prayer of Jesus himself on the night before his death when he prayed   ‘…that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me’ (John 17:21).
