The Music Day will be led by the well-known liturgical music composer Ephrem Feeley. From County Meath, Ephrem teaches Music, Choir and Religion in St Joseph’s Mercy Secondary School, Navan, where he directs the Schola. He is one of Ireland’s leading composers of liturgical music, with over 200 pieces of music suitable for use in worship.

His Mass of Saint Paul was one of four mass settings chosen by the Irish Bishops’ Conference following the publication of the Third Edition of the Roman Missal, and is used widely throughout the English-speaking world since. His hymn A Joy for All the Earth was selected as the official hymn of the World Meeting of Families, Dublin 2018. Here in Christ we Gather was his first collection of liturgical music, which along with his second collection, Our Hearts are Restless, is published by GIA Publications.

Ephrem facilitates workshops in pastoral music ministry, regularly presenting at dioceses throughout Ireland, and the annual Summer School of the Irish Church Music Association. He has held the position of organist at a number of churches in Dublin and Meath.
