PREPARING FOR CONFIRMATION 2020
One of the many disappointments brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic was that 6th class pupils throughout the country who were preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation earlier in the Year had their Confirmation ceremonies cancelled due to the restrictions. Now that the restrictions are easing, and mindful that we have to remain vigilant in our care for each other, Confirmation liturgies are being planned at parish level. Bishop Larry has delegated the administration of the sacrament in 2020 to Parish Priests and Administrators of parishes. Another change is that children and parents/guardians are being are asked to prepare for the Sacrament in new ways. To assist parishes and families in preparing for Confirmation, the Irish Episcopal Conference has commissioned a series of video resources. These videos can be accessed at www.icatholic.ie along with accompanying notes and worksheets. Candidates for Confirmation are invited to avail of these resources. As new material comes to hand, we will post it here.

CONFIRMATION DATES
Subject to public health advice and regulations, the Sacrament of Confirmation across the Diocese of Clogher in 2020 will be celebrated from August until October, in small groups at a time. The dates and times of Confirmation liturgies are posted here as they become available.
Please note that due to the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the numbers attending will be severely limited and social distancing will apply. Arrangements are subject to change due to public health advice.
