To enable people participate in the celebration of the Eucharist across the Diocese of Clogher during this time of Covid-19 we have compiled a list of the times of Masses that will be celebrated via webcam. Some details on Radio and TV Masses and various links are also provided below.

The Christian community in each parish and throughout the diocese should unite in prayer at this time. All of us are encouraged to join with each other online, in local or neighbouring parish and with parishes elsewhere across the diocese and the world, in prayerful solidarity via webcam, radio broadcasts and TV, using whatever devices are available.

Please check with your own local parish as times/circumstances may change and may not be updated here, details are correct at time of posting (31.3.2020 at 5.50pm).

Some parishes are offering us an opportunity to join in the Vigil Mass to anticipate Sunday or Holy Day.

SPIRITUAL COMMUNION

When we cannot attend Mass, we can still make an Act of Spiritual Communion, expressing our faith in Christ and in His Presence in the Eucharist, asking Him to unite Himself to us. The basic elements of an Act of Spiritual Communion are an Act of Faith; An Act of Love; a desire to receive Christ; and an invitation to Him to come into your heart. Some of the prayers accompanying an Act of Spiritual Communion include

My Jesus

I believe that you are present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

I love you above all things, and I desire to receive you into my soul.

Since I cannot at this moment receive you sacramentally,

come at least spiritually into my heart.

I embrace you as if you were already there and unite myself wholly to you.

Never permit me to be separated from you.

Amen.

Other Prayers

Christ with me,
Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me,
Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right,
Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down,
Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.             (Extract from St Patrick’s Breastplate)

Memorare –

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection,
implored your help, or sought your intercession,
was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.
To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions,
but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in you!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

St Joseph, pray for us.

St Patrick, pray for us.

St Macartan, pray for us.

St Davnet, pray for us.

All you Saints in heaven, pray for us.
