PARISH MINISTRY DAY ON LOUGH DERG – 18 MAY 2019

The Parish Ministry Day will be of particular interest to those in lay ministry: readers, Ministers of the Eucharist, baptism and liturgy teams, safeguarding personnel, parish pastoral and finance personnel and so many others who support the parish in dedicated ways. This unique day on the Island offers the opportunity for people in lay ministry across all parishes and dioceses to gather together and enjoy an enriching spiritual experience.

The theme for the day is ‘It is Christ we are serving‘ and guest speaker, Mr Jim Deeds, will offer spiritual nourishment and ways to develop good self-care whilst giving of oneself in the service of the parish community.

Boats are available from 9.15am. The day will begin at 10.30am and conclude with the Celebration of Eucharist at 3pm. Hospitality on the day includes tea/coffee & scones and a light lunch. Boats return from 4.15pm. Admission: €25/£22. It is important to note that this is not a one-day retreat like those offered on other days at Lough Derg.
