The Diocese of Clogher announces today that, following the forthcoming ordination of Bishop-Elect Larry Duffy on Sunday 10 February 2019, Monsignor Joseph McGuinness will take up the position of Parish Priest of Carrickmacross (Machaire Rois), Co Monaghan, in succession to Mgr Duffy.
Mgr McGuinness is currently the Diocesan Administrator of Clogher and Administrator of the Parish of Tyholland.

- The Roman Catholic Diocese of Clogher encompasses all of Co Monaghan, most of Fermanagh and portions of Tyrone, Donegal, Louth and Cavan. It has a Catholic population of 88,000, across 37 parishes, which are served by 58 priests and 2 deacons. There are 85 churches in the diocese.
- Monsignor Joseph McGuinness, a native of the Parish of Lisnaskea-Maguiresbridge (Aghalurcher), Co Fermanagh, has been the Diocesan Administrator of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Clogher since 3 October 2016. He has been Administrator of the Parish of Tyholland since September 2010.
- Monsignor Larry Duffy PP, Carrickmacross, is the Bishop-elect of Clogher. He will be ordained bishop on Sunday 10 February 2019. He has been Parish Priest of Carrickmacross since September 2013.
